Majestic nature, wildlife, wellness, luxury and maybe even your dream wedding in the bush

This luxurious, privately run lodge is located 29 km south east of Windhoek and about 75 km from the airport, making it the ideal beginning or even better, as in our case, the perfect ending to a memorable Namibia trip. GocheGanas is situated high on a hilltop with breathtaking beautiful views onto the awesome Namibian landscape. This luxurious lodge offers a unique combination of wildlife, nature and wellness experiences.

“GOCHEGANAS” means “place of camel thorns abounding with candle-pod Acacias” in the Damara language.

The lodge has sixteen spacious and elegantly designed chalets, each with an en-suite bathroom, private wooden terrace, air conditioning, TV, mini-bar and telephone. One definitely does not need the TV here, as the bush TV is much more interesting.....

Travellers have spoken: 2015 Certificate of Excellence

Travellers come to TripAdvisor to plan and book the perfect trip. Certificate of Excellence celebrates the accommodations, attractions and eateries that make these perfect trips possible.

Now in its 5th year, the prestigious Certificate of Excellence award recognises establishments that consistently earn great TripAdvisor reviews from travellers.

As President of TripAdvisor for Business, Marc Charron knows how important Certificate of Excellence is: “By putting a spotlight on businesses that are focused on delivering great service to customers, TripAdvisor not only helps drive an improvement to hospitality standards around the world, but also gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out from the competition.”

What’s new this year?

To help reinforce the success of these award-winning properties, they’ve made several Certificate of Excellence enhancements this year.

Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame

While Tripadvisor is proud to celebrate Certificate of Excellence’s 5-year anniversary, they’re even more excited to honour properties that have won the award all five years. These Hall of Fame businesses deserve to be especially proud, so they’ve created special awards just for them.

Do you already know the swallow-tailed bee-eater?

It breeds in savannah woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. It is partially migratory, moving in response to rainfall patterns. This species, like other bee-eaters, is a richly coloured, slender bird.

It can reach a length of 20–22 cm.

This attractive bird is readily approached. Just as the name suggests, bee-eaters predominantly eatinsects, especially bees, wasps and hornets, which are caught in the air by sorties from an open perch.

Visit us the upcoming weekend and enjoy the highest temperature of 32°C ☀
